It seems that no one can make up their minds regarding the personal importation of prescription medication. It's illegal, it's not illegal, you can import for personal use, you can't import for personal use, you can can import up to 3 months supply, you can't import up to 3 months supply.. Wherever you look there seems to be be an abundance of conflicting information.
According to the FDA, you are not allowed to import medications for personal use. HOWEVER, if you do decide to import for personal use under the direction of a valid prescription then the FDA are likely to ignore it and its OK. Confused?!
There’s a fine line than can be drawn when talking about prescription medication and personal importation. It’s hard to know what the law actually is and how the drugs policies will affect you if you cross them.
